Carolina TP3
When I met with Are for the second time I had some conversational topics ready to go over but she said she had homework that she needed my help with. She had written an essay about an important issue in her home country and needed to correct it by the next class day. The essay was two pages of an essay discussing the aging population in Korea. The paper was marked pretty heavily in red ink and also had a corresponding page of notes the teacher had taken for Are to consider. We went over the essay sentence by sentence and when some seemed particularly confusing and awkward I got Are to explain to me what she was trying to say. We simplified sentences that were run on and I was thrown for a loop when she wanted me to explain what modified what in a certain sentence...I seriously need to review some vocab terms. Working with Are might be as much of a challenge for me as it is for her. She's fairly advanced and trying to explain to her the difference between "get out" and "go out" is really hard. Are keeps me on my toes!
