Jeff Dinert CP7

On Saturday July 16th, I picked up Sukjoon t his apartment for our pizza, and Harry Potter Deathly Hallows part 2 date, and i think i may have been more excited than Sukjoon. We went to Decent Pizza, first, and Sukjoon seemed a little daunted by the large amount of choices on the chalkboard they have to choose from, I ended up just ordering for him, myself and my lady, and he and I sat down to talk about mostly what he thought about living in Tallahassee, and how America had been for him so far. He said it was very difficult, especially because he said his English was very bad, and he was often dealing with long breaks and people didn't seem to listen or know what he was saying, and it was very difficult. I said I could understand him quite well, but encouraged him as the "Snow' book suggested that it may be better for him to speak more words, I taught him the phrase "spit it out" but to make a lot more mistakes but to speak more frequently and to worry less about what is correct in order to learn. He said he'd try.

Next my girl arrived and Sukjoon said, "I think she is most beautiful girl in Tallahassee." He is a charmer, and they hit it off right away. Actually we were served right then and had pizza and cheese sticks and some salads and Sukjoon looked at the size of the Decent Pizza slice and seemed daunted, but eventually ate everything before Harry Potter. We then took him to Walgreens and told him this is where you buy cheaper candy and sneak it in in the person in your group who has a purse, and met a couple of my friends at the movie so Sukjoon could hear some more English speaking between normal American speech, and meet some people, and also get some more practice. We watched the movie and it was Awesome, Sukjoon enjoyed it very much, but the whole thing in English, especially the pace was too much for him, but he said he'd watch it again in Korean subtitles with his wife when she arrived. I took Sukjoon home an we agreed to meet the next week. He seemed like he had fun, and I figure while I'm home I should take them out for practice and conversation seeing things, and doing things, and more importantly allowing them to ask anything they'd like about what they see or do, and we have a good time.
